Need to make fake IDs? While fake IDs are illegal in many states, it’s easy to make a fake ID for curious purposes or to demonstrate your visual depiction skills. We’ll show you an easy way to make fake IDs using current IDs and state or territory ID layouts, and how to print your IDs on persuasive materials. Keep in mind that most of the penalties for making a fake ID include jail time and a hefty fine, so don’t try to use or sell the ID you made.

1. Scan the front and back of the ID card. You can change the text with your own ID, or you can change the picture with someone else’s ID, as long as the size, hair, eye color, etc. match. Whichever you choose, you must scan the fake id with the scanner. Check the back of the ID to make sure the barcode on the back matches the ID on the front.
   The barcode on the back is encoded with the data on the front. Whether you change the text or not, you actually think it should show a similar status, license number, and unmodified data. Changing photos is easier than changing text.
2. Use a picture modification program such as Photoshop to open the front of your ID card. If you don’t know or don’t have a picture editing program like Photoshop, GIMP, or Photoscape, you can use an Internet-based picture proofreader like Sumo Paint or Paint.Net. Open your favorite picture in the program to change the ID.

3. If you scanned another person’s ID, paste another photo on top of the current ID’s picture. Open the photo you need to replace the photo in progress with. Trim the photo to match the size of the first ID photo. Export the new photo to a different file, then open it in a task similar to Checked ID. Drag it to the highest point of the first photo until you’re happy with the position.
   On the other hand, you can put the new photo on the ID the photo should be in and use the capture device in whatever program you use to remove the side of the photo.
   In Microsoft programs, hold down the shift key while dragging the edges of the photo to maintain the same ratio between the sides of the picture as in the first photo.
   If your new photo doesn’t appear in front of the ID, right-click it and find the Layers tab. Choose to put it in front or put it on top of the ID.
   If you want to take another photo of your id card fake, please use the camera and stand. Try to replicate the original ID’s background by hanging similar kinds of curtains or sheets behind you.
4. Change your ID by viewing and comparing on the web and determine the text style used in your ID. To change the text, you first have to figure out your text style. You can check online if the data for your state or department is accessible, or you can open an ID that is close to a plain text-style list and analyze it.
